The band is an important part of Moravian music history and
ministry. It plays for funerals, plays a 30 minute program
of chorales before church once a month and for all festival occasions
and Communions, as well as playing for Christmas Lovefeasts and
several services during Holy Week. During the Christmas
season, the band offers a full concert of Christmas music on
a Wednesday night following the Fellowship Supper. The highlight
of the year is the Easter Sunrise Service in God's Acre when
our band joins with bands from many other Moravian churches to
celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. The band is
comprised of brass instruments and woodwinds. Rehearsals
are held on an as needed basis on Sunday afternoons.
