Several fun pieces are planned for Christmas this year! And, there will be plenty of opportunity for those who play instruments to make their contributions, too!
Your practices for Christmas are being coordinated with the Youth Fellowship Schedule this Fall. We’ll practice either right before or right after your Youth Activity on 6 Sundays (The Youth Activity for the evening is in parentheses under each practice date :
Oct. 19 - Right after lunch following the 11 a.m. Service. Concluding by 1:30 p.m.
(CROP Walk after practice)
Oct. 26 - 4:45 to 5:15 p.m.
(Lecture and Lead after practice)
Nov. 2 - 4:45 to 5:15 p.m.
(Lecture and Lead after practice)
Nov. 9 - 2:30 to 3 p.m.
(Trip to Laurel Ridge after practice)
Nov. 16 - 3:30 to 4 p.m.
(Bowling before practice)
Dec. 7 - 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. - Different start time!
(Dinner and Visit to Belo Home after practice)
We will present music for:
11 a.m. Worship Service - Sun., Dec. 14
10 to 10:30 a.m. Rehearsal
and Christmas Lovefeast at 11 a.m. - Christmas Eve
10 a.m. Rehearsal

A new program is beginning for middle-school
and high-school aged youth who are interested in assisting
the Organist, Susan Foster, as she plays for worship. The Assistant’s
responsibilities will be Music Arranger, Page Turner, Toe Stud
Stamper, Stop Puller, and Piston Pusher.
- Assistant
to the Organist.
- Serve
at the 11:00am service on a rotating basis.
- Attend
a training session prior to the service, time TBA.
- Equal
opportunity activity!
- An
enthusiastic interest in learning about the organ, and the
role of the organist as a worship leader.
- Music
reading ability is helpful, but not required.
- One
free organ lesson, as a thank-you, to those who serve as an
Organ Assistant six times.
- The
satisfaction of knowing you have “praised the Lord” by
helping to make our organ play beautiful music for worship.
