Prayer of Preparation: Christ our companion, you came not to humiliate the sinner but to disturb the righteous. Welcome us when we are put to shame, but challenge our smugness, that we may truly turn from what is evil, and be freed from our virtues, in your name, Amen. - Janet Morley

Psalm 63:1-8
O God, you are my God; eagerly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Therefore I have gazed upon you in your holy place, that I might behold your power and your glory.
For your steadfast love is better than life itself; my lips shall give you praise.
So will I bless you as long as I live and lift up my hands in your name.
My spirit is content, as with the richest of foods, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.
For you have been my hellper, and under the shadow of you rwings I will rejoice.
My whole being clings to you; your right hand holds me fast.

2009 Vacation Bible School at Home Church
We had a fantastic week of Bible School with our theme Discovery Canyon. We had great Bible stories each day and a critter from the canyon as a symbol for the theme helped us remember our key word for the day. We explored the theme through crafts, science and music. We had really creative snacks and 40 children for the week. We had 47 adults who helped plan, teach, lead sessions, decorate, or organize the event. The building was filled with laughter, learning and much more for the week.
We thank the 47 adults who worked hard to make this week special. We want to say a big thank you to Mallie Graham for taking this on and giving the program energy, excitement and the detailed attention it needed to be successful. Mallie responded to the call issued to Look for God in the Other Place by claiming this venture and following through to get volunteers, organize it, and leading the effort. This is one of our best examples of groups taking on a task and making it happen. This is church working at its best.
