“Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.  Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but, on the contrary, repay with a blessing.  It is for this that you were called – that you might inherit a blessing.”  1 Peter 3:8-9

 

As the recipient of untold blessings, we are constantly challenged to be faithful and courageous stewards of our many resources.  Where and how we utilize these blessings to enhance the life of faith in others represents the heartbeat of our faith and our church. 

Our hope both today and in the future is that our gifts will reflect the values of courage, compassion and community that the Moravians reflected over 550 years ago when they first came together to spread the word of Christ to all.   

With the abundance of opportunities to practice our stewardship through the ministries offered at Home Church, may we reflect the generosity and boldness of vision that so closely embodies the Moravian spirit.

Nov. 1 – Check your mailbox for your 2008 Narrative Budget. 

Nov. 2 – Living Our Gifts:  Community – John McAdams 

Nov. 6 – Check your mailbox for your letter and 2009 commitment card from Jerry Harris. 

Nov. 16 – Please join us as we gather for at 11 AM for a lovefeast and the opportunity to make a pledge of our resources.  The worship service will be followed by a luncheon in Fellowship Hall.
