With Heart & Hand is the 414 page cookbook featuring appetizers, soups, breads, main dishes and other types of recipes collected by the cooks of Home Moravian Church.   

This cookbook honors the 200th anniversary of the consecration of Home Moravian Church’s sanctuary in 1800.  It also commemorates the first visit of members of the Sisters choir to Salem and the first Lovefeast service in Salem in 1767.  This Lovefeast, during which the congregation shared a simple meal, consecrated the first place of worship in the new town—the original Gemeinhaus.  The Gemeinhaus was not only the place of worship, but also the home of the pastor’s family, many of the congregation’s members, and members of the Sister’s choir.  It is appropriate that we recognize these events with a cookbook from the Sisters of Home Moravian Church.
