On Sunday Aug. 20 you are invited to Friedberg Moravian Church to celebrate the fourth annual Moravian Children’s Festival and Lovefeast. These events have been held at settlements in chronological order as to when they were settled to help teach a little Moravian history in interactive and fun ways.
This year you are invited to a big opening celebration at 2 p.m. to understand how the Friedberg community began. Following the opening there will be family group activities including tours of a history room, putz making, a nature walk and petting zoo, a commemorative Moravian seal and story rock bags, mission stories and music, Moravian cookies with the Hanes family, games and a photoshoot.
The Festival will culminate at 4:45 when a band will call us to an interactive lovefeast in the Sanctuary. Groups are invited to come to Friedberg and picnic on the grounds. Registration will begin at 1:30.
Friedberg Church is located at 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem. Come and enjoy this event for all children and their families.
