We celebrated 250 years as a church on Nov. 13, 2021, in Salem Square – with food, music, fellowship and prayer. We heard inspiring remarks by Mayor Allen Joines and Rt. Rev. D. Wayne Burkette, former pastor of Home Moravian, former president of the Provincial Elders Conference and former head of Salem Academy. See videos below.
After the wonderful brunch prepared by the HMC Chefs, we enjoyed a variety of activities, including trimming candles for Candle Tea, writing cards to fellow members, and helping to design a memorial quilt. We also met our goal of collecting 5,000 pounds of food on the day for Sunnyside Ministry.
