Fulfilling Christ's call to love God, live in community, and serve our neighbor

Choir headed to Jamaica

Help the choir and Jamaican Moravians

How much money do we hope to raise and how will it be used? Our goal is $6,000. We will take an electronic piano with us. We will leave it with their PEC office at the end of the trip, who will decide which church could benefit from it most.

We will give small gifts of our appreciation to the three churches where we will give concerts (and will often be fed by them) and to the PEC office.

Our airfare increased $200 per person after we had committed to going on this trip, so we hope to cover that deficit.

We hope to contribute to Camp Hope, their camp for youth. This mission is very close to the heart of Rev. Hopeton Clennon, who has been with us every step of the way.

There is no profit or travel company involved in this trip. Hopeton has tirelessly reached out to congregations, hotels, transportation, and more on our behalf and expects nothing in return other than bringing people together. (We are covering his travel expenses.)

This trip is custom-designed just for us. It’s going to be a wonder trip where we connect with our Moravian brothers and sisters in song and worship. We will see important Moravian heritage sites and learn more about Moravian history. And, of course, we will enjoy the beauty of the island.

We appreciate your support! You may contribute by attending our concert on August 20 at 3 p.m. in our sanctuary; you may send a check to the church; or use the Give Now" button on the bottom of every page in this website. Indicate "Jamaica Trip" in the memo line.
