Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Augsburg Lutheran Church, Nov. 19, 7:00 p.m

Bring cans of beef stew as a food offering for Crisis Control

PLUS: Donate blood at Temple Emanuel, 11:00-3:30

Thanksgiving can be more than just one day. Our preparations to celebrate a day of Thanksgiving can lead us to a season of gratitude in which we are reminded daily to express our thanks for all God’s gifts.

One thing to be grateful for: the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service, a tradition of more than fifty years that calls Home Church to worship with people of other congregations and other bodies of faith.

This year, the service will be held at Augsburg Lutheran Church, 845 W Fifth Street in downtown Winston-Salem.

A food offering will be gathered for Crisis Control. Home Church members are asked to donate cans of beef stew.

Also note that Temple Emanuel—a participant in this gathering—is hosting a blood drive from 11 to 3:30 that same day. Consider donating blood as a special way to offer thanks for God’s gift of life.
