Your Next Chapter: A Workshop for Those Contemplating Retirement is a three-session workshop is being offered by the Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem. The workshop is for anyone who is contemplating retirement or is recently retired. It focuses on the non-financial side of retirement planning such deciding when or if to retire; what to do with all that time; the best volunteering or part time work fits; and other social, emotional, health and spiritual issues.
Through presentations, personal worksheets and interactive group discussion, the workshop will explore meaning and purpose in one’s retirement years, assess those interests and skills available to reinvest beyond ones chosen careers, and create a personal plan from among the many options retirement presents for continued personal growth.
Each weekly session builds upon the previous ones and is a part of an integrated group experience. While unforeseen circumstances arise, individuals should be able to commit to attend all three sessions.
When: September 13, 20 and 27, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Workshop limited to 18participants. Reservations are required by September 6!
Where: The Shepherd’s Center of Greater Winston-Salem, 1700 Ebert Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
Workshop Leader: Pamela R. Karr, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in career counseling and Certified Professional Retirement Coach. 
Fee: A registration fee of $25 for the workshop covers the cost of resource materials and refreshments. .
