Fulfilling Christ's call to love God, live in community, and serve our neighbor

Lenten Communions 2021

Wednesdays, with special music for prayer and meditation, via Zoom

During the season of Lent, Home Church has traditionally enjoyed a communion each Wednesday night, held in the Saal, where our services have been somewhat less formal, with a special intimacy that members have come to enjoy. This year, we offer these communions by Zoom. If you haven't been able to attend on Wednesdays, or would like to hear some of the music again, here's a special playlist.

The services, which also include beautiful seasonal music for prayer and meditation, will begin at 6:45, following a time for fellowship at 6:30. To join by Zoom:

Our Home Church bakers can provide your household with bread for the sacred meal. To help the bakers plan, please reserve your portion by calling Jane Shore at the church office 336-722-6171 ext. 105 or emailing her at jshore@homemoravian.org.

Deadline for reservations is each Monday in Lent by noon. Pick up your bread each Wednesday morning between 10 and 11 at the porte-cochere behind the church (Fine Arts parking lot).

A Lenten devotional book mailed to the congregation, will provide meditations and a liturgy for the services. If you did not receive one and would like one, please email the church office or call us at 336-722-6171.
