At our April 19 meeting, Senior Friends will see a video presentation in which Dena Grillo of Albania tells how her faith journey has brought her first to be a Christian, and then through several difficult life experiences to respond to the call to become a minister in the Moravian Church by studying at the Moravian Theological Seminary using "distance learning" (connecting by the internet from Albania).
In telling about her faith journey, Dena shares how her mother, almost three decades ago, helped found the church in Albania with two other women, after a long time of official atheism in Communist Albania, and how her mother, she, and now Dena's newborn daughter make up three generations now baptized as Christians in this relatively new Moravian/Lutheran work in Albania. We are hoping Dena can be with us by speaker phone to answer any questions we may have after we view her video.
We will meet in the Fellowship Hall for a pot luck luncheon that day, Thursday, April 19 at 12 noon. The program will follow the luncheon. Please join us.
