Thursday Nov. 18 at 1 p.m.
Our program on Nov. 18 will be quite different from anything we have tried before.
It's been found that adults can lower their feelings of stress, and relax somewhat, by coloring illustrations in a coloring book. So each of us will receive a special coloring book and a set of colored pencils before the meeting. During the meeting we will color away in a coloring book titled "God's Perfect Colors," while we listen to the message of this coloring book that was designed for Moravian young people and used recently at the Provincial Children's Lovefeast.
Peggy Dodson and Tom Haupert will lead us through this experience.
Senior Friends, Thursday Oct. 21
Report by Patsy Ernst
Andrew Heil hosted the meeting; Patsy welcomed the group and had prayer.
Hazel and Wayne Disher reported that we have $120 in the Missions Fund and $53 in the Budget.
Fran Huetter recognized recent birthdays and read the Moravian Birthday Hymn.
We will send out the Nominations for 2022 in November for you to approve or nominate others; be sure that you have asked the person if you nominate anyone not on the ballot.
Tom Haupert asked for prayer concerns; they were Kim Smith, who broke her ankle in a car accident, Fran Huetter, JoAnne Livengood, and Peggy Dodson.
Tom had a short devotions about, “The Lord is my Shepherd,” and that church life can be positive exercise.
He then introduced Reverend Bob Peterson, a Moravian Minister. He told us about how when he left the ministry, and become a Funeral Director, it made him a better minister in the end. He had planned to play his classical guitar for us, but our program went longer than we expected, so he will try to come back and do that for us in a separate program in 2022.
Thank you, Tom, for an excellent program!
In November, we hope to have Tom interview Peggy Dodson about her life growing up in Old Salem. We hope you will attend.
