Albania update

An Easter message, with video, from our Albanian church family

Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,

We serve a risen Savior! Hallelujah! Amen!

As you all know, Easter is the biggest service we usually have in the Church in Tirana, with more than 120 members attending every year. Considering that again this year we could not follow traditions, this Easter we had three Zoom services, but we also gathered in person in the six congregations, respecting Covid-19 restrictions and measures.

We would like to share with you all the video below of our Easter services in Bathore, Burrel, Elbasan, Lezhe, Pogradec and Tirana.

Bathore Project Progress

46 families fed for 2½ years
18-23 women attended classes weekly to learn to read, write and do simple math. Geography, history, and health classes were also included in classes.
18 previously illiterate women learned to read and write.
28-32 women regularly attended cooking and sewing classes
28-32 women attended classes on social issues including domestic violence against women
20 women took a field trip to the historical museum in Tirana (many had never left their homes in Bathore)
25 women attended a 4 day Moravian camp in Pogradec (8 women were from Bathore who had never spent the night away from home)
60 women (16 from Bathore) attended a 3 day meeting: “United in the Moravian Spirit”
In addition to the 46 families in Bathore, new families are attending worship services and are receptive to hearing the Gospel.
