Do you know which Home Church members are your neighbors?
Church Family Life has been dreaming about the many neighborhoods in which our members live and how we could help spark a new connection between those neighbors.
We have recently identified 16 neighborhoods in which our members live, throughout Winston-Salem, Forsyth County and even in surrounding counties!
Some members live close together in a more traditional neighborhood. Others are a bit separated, but live in the same general area.
Since each neighborhood is unique, we hope that each one can discover a way to connect that is uniquely theirs. There is no formal agenda or expected list of activities or gatherings. Instead, we’d like for each neighborhood to make whatever kind of connection feels right for them. That’s why we’re calling this new way of connecting with one another – Close to Home!
Here are just a few ideas of ways to connect:
- Organize a neighborhood meal
- Start a Bible Study
- Gather as a group to walk together
- Connect online
- Share transportation for worship, appointments, errands

Look for the big map at the Church Family Picnic on Sunday June 4 to find your neighborhood. You might be surprised who lives close to you!
Jesus said that being a neighbor means to come along side someone.
They might be far away. Or they might be right next door!
